Running Against the Wind!

I am uber crazy insanely hectic! I barely have time to brush my teeth!! I have been blogging, interviewing and promoting all over! ACK!!! So you will forgive me, won't you, if I don't do a real blog today? You won't mind, will you, if I merely give away an advanced copy of NOAH? It's a cheap substitute, I know...but I will sign it personally and everything :) Promise! Now, I have to go pack madly for the Lori Foster Get Together!! ACK!!!!

Oh, just comment below to enter to win. What topic? The biggest blunder you ever made because you were so damn rushed and busy. Like...leaving the milk in the freezer, dropping your keys down a grate, forgetting to put a skirt on over your slip...things like that!

Have fun!!

Hugs and Kitties,
Jacki

I was hurrying to go to my best friend's birthday party, and I left the present at home. I didn't even realize it until after she opened the gifts, and I didn't see mine. Even then, I thought it had been misplaced. No, I left it at home on the table by the door.

Biggest blunder I ever made was putting a check in the mail without an envelope. It went in the mail boxes that are locked(like when you live in a housing community) Then I had to wait for the mail carrier to come. Thank God our mailboxes were next to our community park because I sat there almost all afternoon till he came and I was able to get it out. All that for being in a rush...LOL

BTW, really enjoyed Damien!!

After 60 miles and hour later, I discovered that I left my power cord for my laptop at home. It also contained a password generator that I need to access my work computer network. Back into the car I went to make a trip back home and then back to the hotel.

I work in an Emergency Room and needless to say things can get pretty hectic when I am working. One day I was hooking up some saline fluids to run on a patient when I got called into another room. I thought I had finished everything and started the fluids before I left but when I got back into the room the patient was sitting in a very wet bed. I had forgotten to actually connect the IV line to the IV in the person's hand. It was a good thing they thought it was pretty funny and I had a wet mess to clean up!

After a very hectic day at work, cleaning up after a children's party I was taking stuff out to my car, I put everything away and then rush to finish before my shift was over. I walk up to the building to find that I was missing my keys. After a few minutes of looking, I finally got into the building, only to find that I was in such a hurry that I left me keys in the door to leave the building(I work in a lock-down facility). I was very embarassed.

I work in retail and at closing time I was closing down my register. I had all my money sorted and counted and into the security bag. I took it to the service desk, dropped it into the lock box and threw the trash in my hand away. Beforet he bags are taken back to the cash offices, they are counted to make sure all the bags are tunred in. Guess who's bag was missing? Mine! We looked all over the place, and I'm sweating it, there was close to $2000 in cash alone in that bag. 15 mintues later, the janitor changes the trash bags and what's in top...my register bag! Turns out I put my trash in the lock box and my cash bag in the trash! I got teased for a few days, but everything turned out ok in the end

Hi!
Hope you have fun at Lori's get together!!
Well, the worst blunderf or me I think was one day when I was going to get my oldest daughter from school.
It was drizzling and cold, and as I fumbled to close and lock the car I went a little to fast. As I turned with my keys and my cell phone, my cell flew outta my hands and shot right down the storm drain!!!!! Argh!!!
Well, this guy saw the whole damn emberrasing moment, I looked up, caught his eye, and he said, lets see what we can do, lol! I was still in a rush, I had to get my son in a half an hour. Well, 25 minutes, 2 guys and alot of tree limbs/broom handles later, they got my cell out of the storm drain!! lol!!
It took a graber thingy attactched to a long stick to get it, lol! TG for those guys! I was so humiliated!! lol!! Blonde moment indeed, lol!
Have a safe trip hon!
*hugs*

The biggest blunder that I got remember is when I was in elementary school (probably about 8or 9 years old). As I was going out the door to go to school, I was wearing slippers instead of school shoes. I had to turn back and change. :)

worst blunder I ever did was at work. I set the wrong direct deposit up for the wrong person. I had a moment and transposed two numbers in this ladies employee Id number. I was in a hurry trying to enter all the new hires and was getting to double check myself like I ususally do. Don't do that anymore.

good luck on your trip! my biggest blunder was just after my son was born. I was rushing to get to the base on time and put my son in his carrier just outside the apartment door. I carries all his stuff to the car and drove off. I got half way to the sitters and noticed I was missing him. I rushed back to the apartment and there stood the neighbor laughing. holding my son's carrier as her son got on the school bus. she told me not to worry he was okay and I was new at having an extra person after that he went in the car first.

The biggest blunder for me was when I was going out on a date and forgot to zip the back of my skirt up (its the ones that fit all the way through the hip) and my red lace thongs where showing...I didn't even notice until the really cute waiter at the restaurant pointed it out he was even nice enough to zip it up for me. I was totally and utterly mortified

My biggest blunder included the freezer too. I ended up putting all the fresh veggies I bought in the freezer drawer, and all the frozen pasta, juices and desserts I had picked up in the frig crisper drawer. Then I spent the day at my son's baseball game, and didn't notice it until the next morning. Do you know how creepy a frozen bell pepper gets? Suffice it to say, had to toss out everything, what a mess, lol. My kids still remind me of it anytime they start to hear the, "think before you act" speech.
