AAD Featured Author Interview: Ella Jade

Welcome Authors After Dark 2014 featured author Ella Jade!

Is this your first year attending AAD?
No, I attended last year but not as a featured author. I had a blast!

What brings you back to AAD?
AAD was my very first con and I loved the atmosphere. There’s all this bonding going on and not just between the authors. The readers have so many opportunities to sit and chat with the authors. It’s such a fantastic concept! I’m really looking forward to connecting with the readers.

So where will attendees be able to find you at AAD? Do you hang out in the bar? The lobby? Or are you the one who throws parties in their room?
You’ll probably find me hanging out in the lobby especially during down times. I’ll be the one with my head in the laptop trying to squeeze in some words. I also like to hang out at the bar. I’m not a big drinker but I have been known to enjoy a martini or two. I’d love for you to join me.

Do you have a book coming out before AAD you want the attendees to know about?
Yes, I’ll have two. One in September called Tessa’s Temptation. This is a full length novel that involves a sassy younger woman and a sexy, domineering older man. The chemistry between the two is explosive. I’ll have swag at AAD to reveal the cover. In October, The Weekend Surprise releases. This is the highly anticipated sequel to The Weekend Proposition.

If you were to suggest one of your books to the AAD attendees, which book would it be?
Stealing His Heart! If you like sexy, dirty-talkin southern pitchers this is your book. Warning… Pax will steal your heart. http://www.amazon.com/Stealing-His-Heart-Kingston-Heat-ebook/dp/B00J0ZRBQM/ref=sr_1_1?s=digital-text&ie=UTF8&qid=1394894629&sr=1-1&keywords=stealing+his+heart+ella+jade

Tell us about the party you’re hosting at AAD!
I’ll be hosting two hours at the Coffee Cafe on Thursday. This is a place where you can come for a hot cup of Joe. We’ll chat, I’ll have some books and swag too! Even if you don’t drink coffee, pop in and visit with me.

What panels will you be on at AAD?
I’m doing the Sports Romance panel. Yum! I’ll have a chance to talk about my sexy, sweaty baseball guys. Don’t miss it!

If an adoring fan wanted to buy you a drink at the bar, what’s your poison?
I’m a martini girl. I love the flavored vodkas. If you’re participating in the Blind Book Party and you happen to get my book there just may be a ticket in there to find me and and have a round of drinks with me ;) If you don’t drink, we can have a non-alcoholic concoction.

We’re all excited about the book signing. What books will you have on hand to sign and sell?
I’ll be signing Stealing His Heart. I’m excited to bring my baseball “players” with me ;)

Where can readers find you?
I love connecting with readers. You can join my readers’ group, Team Ella… https://www.facebook.com/groups/166504183500570/

New Release... Ella Jade #giveaway

When they met, love was the last thing they were looking to discover…

Local bar owner Cali Tate has always been trendy, easy-going, and impulsive. She isn't afraid to take chances, but her carefree attitude may have put her restaurant in jeopardy. Her failing business is beginning to take a toll on her, both mentally and financially. When her best friend asks her to do a favor and take some books to the town's reclusive professor Cali welcomes the distraction. To her surprise, the sexy professor is nothing like she had pictured him.

Dr. Carter Stavros wants to be left alone. He's set in his ways and doesn't want to be bothered with the outside world. Wanting to escape the demons of his recent past, he moved to Steeple, taking a sabbatical from his teaching job to write a book. He wasn't prepared for the spunky, persistent bar owner to invade his life. But the more she pushes, the more intrigued he becomes.

Neither one of them expected to find any common ground, much less fall in love. What happens when an OCD professor collides with a risk-taking woman who won't take 'no' for an answer?

I'm excited to announce the release of A Love Discovered. If you've read A Love Stolen you've met Cali. See how the sassy bar owner discovers love with a sexy, domineering professor.

After lunch, another hour of conversation, and a long swim, Cali lounged on the chair by the pool. Her shoulder-length blonde hair dried naturally and curled at the ends. Carter watched as she closed her eyes and enjoyed the afternoon sun. Her tanned skin glistened with sunscreen and her tiny bikini was almost dry. He wondered how many hours of intense workouts created a body like hers.

"Are you admiring me again?" she asked with her eyes still closed.

"How many tattoos do you have?"

"Wouldn't you like to know?" She giggled.

"I would."

As improper as it was, he couldn't take his gaze away from her right nipple. The evidence straining against her damp bikini indicated a piercing of some sort. He'd never been more fascinated by anyone before. Throughout the years he'd seen quite a few attractive young women on campus, but he never acted on impulse when it came to students, no matter how tempting. Cali wasn't a student. She was a quirky, attractive woman who was very much in touch with her sexuality. She turned him on. He wanted to explore with her.

"Four."

He sat on the edge of the lounge chair, taking her right ankle into his hand. "Here." He outlined the small butterfly that permanently marked her skin.

"That's one." She opened her eyes when he trailed his hand up her leg and to her hip.

It had been years since he had pursued a woman. He'd gotten married when he was twenty-four and stayed faithful through the whole fourteen years of that turbulent relationship.

"Two." He swept his fingers over the pink-and-purple-colored rose petals sprinkled along her hip.

"Keep going."

He took her hand in his and examined more rose petals on the inside of her wrist. "Do they hold significance?" He traced his fingertips over the tattoo, indulging in her smooth skin beneath his touch. The way her flesh prickled in response instigated his actions.

"I like roses." She sat up, placed her legs across his lap, and leaned closer to his face. "My mother had the most beautiful rose bushes in our backyard." She pushed her hair to the side and tilted her neck. "Four."

"It's exquisite," he mumbled as he took in the ivy that started at her collarbone and flowed down the back of her shoulder blade.

"I wouldn't have pegged you for a man who likes ink on his woman."

"I'm not usually." He ran his thumb from the start of the tattoo to where it ended on her back. He wanted to feel every inch of her forbidden flesh. She shivered when he stopped. "It goes back to those boundaries you don't have."

Reaching out, she placed her palm on his cheek, directing him closer to her lips. "The question is…" She brushed her mouth against his chin. "Do you have enough for both of us?"

Alex must head back to Yale to finish an internship, having no idea what he’s left behind. Jocelyn must decide what to do on her own, forcing her to grow up much faster than she anticipated.

Alex returns home to more than he ever bargained for. Young love has never been more complicated as they deal with a teen pregnancy, social barriers, and concerned family members. Life sometimes throws a curve ball, but the unexpected isn’t always bad.

I sat on the floor in the tiny bathroom and debated whether I should reach up to the counter and check the stick I had just peed on. It had been over five minutes, more than enough time to get the results I dreaded. I’d thrown up twice since starting the test, but I had gotten used to that. I had been throwing up for over two weeks now. At first, I thought it was just the stress I felt over him leaving. It wasn’t until after he went back to Yale that I realized I was more than three weeks late.

Three weeks and two days, to be exact. I didn’t have to look at that test to know what it was going to tell me, because I already knew. My stomach did another flip just thinking about it. The July heat wasn’t helping, either. I hovered over the toilet, pulled my long hair out of the way, and emptied whatever was left in my system, which wasn’t much. I stood from the floor and rinsed out my mouth, my gaze veering over toward the pregnancy test. My hands trembled as I slowly picked it up. I forced myself to look. I needed the confirmation.

Two pink lines . . . no shock there. I even knew exactly when it happened. The day of the week, and where we were. But, how did I let this happen? I knew the answer to that too.

Available now for just .99 cents!

Hurry price goes back to $5.50 at the end of May!

Are Sexy Baseball Players Your Thing? Stealing His Heart...

I’m thrilled to announce the release of my newest erotic, contemporary romance Stealing His Heart. If you like your men hot, dirty and southern, I may have just the thing for you.

When the players take the field this spring come meet my players...

Will the bad-boy pitcher strike out when it comes to love?

Shy music teacher Sophia Ballis has sworn off men. After a bad experience with a college jock she decided it was better to be alone than to get burned again. She focused on her education and now her new job at a local private school.

Professional baseball pitcher Paxton Hughes is a player both on and off the field. He's signed to the Kingston Crushers to bring home the coveted championship title. Nothing can get in his way. Serious relationships don't mix with a life on the road and he never loses focus on the game. One-night stands are his specialty for a reason.

While out jogging one spring morning, the two collide, setting their course in motion. Pax is immediately drawn to the unassuming beauty. Sophia is aware of his reputation and decides one night of meaningless sex with the attractive Texas charmer is just what she needs to get over her self-imposed dry spell. Pax has more than a one-night stand on his mind, but will his bad-boy persona and demanding schedule ruin any chances of a happily ever after?

Content Warning: contains explicit sex and adult content

“Can I walk you to your car?”
“Thank you.” Sophia got up from the table and took his hand. “I’m parked right out front.”
Pax led her across the dance floor, waving to the few people who were left, and then out to the parking lot.
“It’s that one.” She pointed to her beat-up car, the one she’d bought her freshman year of college. It was used then but it still managed to get her where she needed to go. “Probably not as nice as what you drive.”
He leaned her against the car and wrapped his arms around her waist. Her heart pounded hard against her chest, strumming loud between her ears. She could smell the beer that lingered on his breath. His hazel eyes narrowed as he swiped the tip of his tongue along his top lip before tilting his head.
“I have a feeling I’m going be seeing you in my dreams tonight.” He sighed as he brought his mouth to hers. “Give me something to remember these next few days.”
She nodded as she placed her hands on his broad shoulders and guided him to her, closing any space between them. When his warm lips touched hers, she thought she would explode. A burn coursed through her and settled between her legs. The mild tingling she’d experienced when they danced was nothing compared to the intensity she felt now.
As he deepened the kiss, his tongue massaged hers. Increasing his hold on her hips, he pinned her between the car and his massive thighs. She tightened her grip on him when his erection grazed her center. Every nerve ending in her begged to be satiated. The ache inside her stomach moved lower until the dampness invaded her panties. Her nipples poked against the thin material of her silk bra.
When she moaned into his mouth, he placed one last kiss on her lips before pulling away. He looked at her for a moment, pressing his forehead to hers, as he stuttered a few words.
“That was...well, I’ve never...” He ran his fingers through his hair. “You have me tongue-tied, sugar. That doesn’t happen often.”
Now she wanted to know what else he could do with that tongue.
“You best get in that car and drive away before I...”
She’d never wanted to have a one-night stand more than she did at that very moment. Maggie had said if there was ever a guy to have one with, Pax would be the one. He was a no-strings-attached player. Why hadn’t he asked her to go home with him?
“Be safe driving home.” He reached for the handle and opened her door. “You have some sweet dreams. I know I sure will.”
Sleep? That was the last thing on her mind.

As Trevor helped Lila up the porch steps, she wrapped her arms around his neck and brushed her lips against his jaw. She hadn’t taken her hands off him since they’d left Tate’s.
“I love to feel your stubble.” She ran her fingers along his cheek. “It’s sexy.”
“Keys?” He held out his hand and waited as she dug through her bag. She had him rock hard and ready to go. The fact that she’d rested her hand on his thigh the whole ride home hadn’t helped matters. It was the alcohol lowering her inhibitions, but that didn’t make it any easier not to respond.
“Here they are.” She dropped them into his hand. “Come inside with me.”
He opened the door and led her into the foyer. As soon as he let her go, she stumbled forward. He caught her by the waist and pulled her against him. He couldn’t take his eyes away from her lips.
“Do you want to kiss me?” Her warm breath caressed his mouth.
More than you know.
“Let me help you upstairs. I don’t want you to fall down the steps.” He scooped her up and carried her to the staircase. She was so light and dainty. She was still his perfect fit.
“You didn’t answer my question.” She placed soft, open-mouth kisses along his neck as he made his way to her old bedroom. He remembered sneaking up those steps many times, while her father slept down the hall. They still creaked, but this time he didn’t have to worry about getting caught.
“Of course I want to kiss you.” He pushed the door open with his shoulder and set her down by the bed.
She closed her eyes and leaned into him.
He swiped the hair from her face, took her chin between his fingers, and placed a chaste kiss on her lips.
She opened one eye and peered at him, waiting for more.
“That’s it?” Disappointment flooded her beautiful features.
“For tonight.” He tapped the tip of her nose with is finger. “I want you to remember when I kiss you.”
“I’ll remember.” She wrapped her arms around his neck. “You’re not easy to forget.”
He pried her arms from his body. “Believe me, I want to, but not tonight.”
“Why?”
“Because four hours ago you ran away from me,” he said. “Something made you run. Tell me why.” He may not have wanted to take advantage of her physically while she was intoxicated, but he didn’t see why he couldn’t let her drunken lips tell him what she was afraid of.
 “I can’t.”
“You can’t what?” He needed to know what she thought about the two of them.
“I’m tired now.” She lifted her dress over her head and tossed it in the corner of the room. She stood before him in nothing but her white push-up bra and matching lace thong.
“Hell.” He couldn’t take his eyes off her toned, tanned body. He mindlessly licked his lips when he discovered her rose-colored nipples poking through the thin, silky material of her bra. Struggling with himself, he tried not to lower his gaze. He lost the battle as he greedily took in her scantily covered sex.
“Want to kiss me now?” She ran her fingers down her neck and over her breasts. “Want to touch me like this?” She moved her hand down her stomach and to the waistband of her panties.
He stepped closer to her and grabbed her wrist. He had to get her to stop or he’d lose all control.

“You want to do it?”

Riley closed her eyes and let the heat of the water engulf her tired muscles. Resting her head against the bath pillow, she cleared her mind. The steam seeped out from the bubbles and swirled around the room. Soon the mirror and windows were fogged and a scented mist surrounded the bathroom, creating a relaxing atmosphere. A week’s worth of sleepless nights had taken their toll and Riley drifted off.

The squeak of the faucet and the silence that followed distracted her tranquil thoughts. She opened her eyes to find him sitting on the edge of the tub looking at her. For a moment, she felt self-conscious. She glanced down and discovered her body covered in thick, white bubbles. He couldn’t see anything but the tops of her shoulders, neck, and face.
“Sorry,” he said. “I was afraid the water would overflow.”
“Am I awake?”
He shook his head. She noted his green eyes sparkled even in the dim lighting of the bathroom.
“Well, then how—”
“It’s complicated.” His thin, pink lips formed a small smile. “I can’t explain now.”
“Why not?”
“There isn’t enough time to make you understand while you’re in your current state. We need much more time. You can get that for us.”
“Are you real or am I crazy?”
“I’m very real, just stuck between realms. I’ve been waiting for you for a long time.” He slid off the side of the tub and knelt down on the floor. “I’m afraid I can’t stay very long. I keep trying to figure out how to increase the length of my visits but nothing seems to work.”
“I don’t know you.”
“You will.” He reached for the clip in her hair. “May I?”
She nodded.
Once he’d freed her hair from its confines, he smoothed the damp locks out with his hand. “I like when you wear it down. It’s so pretty.” He continued to stroke her hair. “You’re just as beautiful as I remember.”
“How do you know me?” She shifted her position to face him. She breathed in his crisp scent. He smelled of spice, maybe a hint of cinnamon.
“I…” He trailed off when his gaze caught her exposed breasts. He looked lost in a distant memory.
When she’d turned to face him she’d upset the bubbles shielding her. Her nipples hardened as she watched him take in her flesh. She no longer felt embarrassed.
“I have to go.”
“You keep leaving me. I don’t like it.” Each time he left, he took a small piece of her with him.
“That’s why you need to find me.” He leaned forward. “I know you can. You’re very powerful.” He brushed his lips against her mouth. A rush of warmth coursed through her and settled between her legs. “Find me, Riley.” He kissed the corner of her mouth, lingering a second longer than usual. She took the opportunity to run her tongue along his soft lips. “Find me now.”
“How?” She wanted more than anything to find this man. “What do I need to do?”
“Tucker…” he whispered.
“What?”

Riley slipped off the bath pillow and under the cold water. She quickly sat up and looked around. The bubbles had evaporated into the freezing water.
Did she turn the faucet off? Or did…
I must be crazy.
She thought for a moment. Her mystery man had left her a big clue tonight. Now she needed to figure out what Tucker Sparrow had to do with any of this. It looked as if she would be paying a visit to a man she hadn’t seen in a decade.
