Lea Griffith's new release, Too Much!

In Lea Griffith’s Loveswept debut, a novel that’s perfect for erotic romance readers, two lovers who have shared exquisite pain and unforgettable bliss find solace back in each other’s arms.
Jeremiah Copeland and Daly Edwards have a history. Even though he grew up a criminal struggling to care for two younger siblings, and she’s the pampered daughter of a power-hungry senator, they formed a bond that nothing could break. Only a lack of trust ripped them apart.
Seven years later, Daly has reason to believe that Jeremiah’s brother is in trouble. She reaches out to Jeremiah the only way she knows how: at his BDSM club, The Underground. But one look ignites a heat she thought had cooled forever. As Jeremiah takes control of her body once again, Daly quickly loses control of her carefully rebuilt world. Too much has never been enough between them, and as danger swirls in the shadows, Jeremiah forces Daly to recognize what has never changed: She still loves him. His command is that she return her heart—and he will make her obey.

Too Much is an erotic romance intended for mature audiences.

Lea Griffith began sneaking to read her mother’s romance novels at a very young age. She cut her teeth on the greats: McNaught, Woodiwiss and Garwood. As she got older, her need to devour all genres of romance–including contemporary, paranormal and sci/fi–grew. Any romance novels she couldn’t buy were borrowed or tradedl in her quest to read about that elemental emotion that keeps us strong: love. She still has most of those books; dog-eared, their pages yellowed with age, they still bring her joy.

Lea lives with her husband and three teenage daughters in rural Georgia and she writes her own stories now. With two dogs, a cat and a beta fish named Coddy George, there is never a dull moment. When she’s not working her day job you can usually find Lea at her keyboard, using every spare second to write. Shifters, artificial intelligence, and gene splicing, oh my! Nothing is off-limits when it comes to her writing.

#Twitchy is coming to Authors After Dark

First of all I want to thank EVERY SINGLE ONE OF YOU. Because Authors After Dark is one of my VERY favorite conventions every single year, and the reason for that is YOU.

Meeting all the readers is simply so much fun I can't even begin to tell you what it means to me to be included, and the fact that I'm welcome back every year tells me that you just might think I'm pretty cool too ;) That and I bribe my way in. KIDDING! If you've met Stella you know that's not possible.

Anyway, my first AAD was in New Orleans (which was AMAZING!!!) I made so many new friends and had such an amazing time and I WON THE BOOKIE FOR HISTORICAL ROMANCE!! Which, was shocking to me. Obviously because I got up and said something like, "Oh Shit!" Yeah, I did NOT see that coming at all.

That award has meant so much to me over the last couple years because it was voted on by readers, and you are my peeps. When you're an author there isn't anyone more important than a reader.

So THANK YOU. From the bottom of my heart, thank you.

The big PIIINK book, a.k.a. The Rake And The Recluse : REDUX lived on the time travel charts for OVER a YEAR. That's because of you guys.

Well, that thing is over and done with. I have a new book out (I KNOW!! IT DID TAKE ME AWHILE!!!) But I was busy making cover images for some people you might know, like this:

and this:

and this:

and this:

and this:

and possibly a few others you might recognize. AND I HAVE LOVED EVERY SECOND OF IT.

But it was time for me to get back to writing... and shooting my OWN stuff. So I did, and I have, and the next Illustrated Romance is available TODAY.

ABSOLUTE SURRENDER, the book formerly known as #Twitchy:

I can't tell you how excited I am about this book.
Stupid excited.

You can pick her up on

So here's the deal. I have copies that I'll be bringing with me to Authors After Dark in Charlotte, these are special because they're signed by the cast. Charles, Amelia and Hugh will all sign the book. BUT I NEED TO KNOW HOW MANY. Guys, I'm getting on a plane. Yes I'll bring books, but how many is completely dependent on the preorders, and ONLY preorders will have all the signatures in them, because these people live all over the country and rounding them up isn't easy.

So IF YOU WOULD LIKE the trade edition of #Twitchy, you need to order it THIS WEEK from my website HERE.

When you pay, you can leave a comment and tell me WHO to have it signed to, and WHERE you'll pick it up (Authors After Dark) and I'll have your book ready for you when you arrive.

YAY!!

I am so very much looking forward to seeing everyone and having a good time. Until then see you online!!

*hugs* and *smooches*

Jenn

ONE MORE THING!

If you purchase and review the ebook within the first two weeks of release you can enter the review giveaway! You just have to send in a link to the review on Goodreads and/or one of the big sites BEFORE APRIL 22nd to be entered.

New Release: Hot Tango by Sidney Bristol

Brand new release AND first in a new series from author Sidney Bristol.

Hot Tango, Good Guys Wear Black #1
an erotic suspense novel.

SWAT officer Cole Westling walks a fine line of control. If his wife knew exactly what he wanted to do to her, he’d lose the most precious thing in his life. Instead, he throws himself into work.
Tanya Westling did not leave her job as a globe-trotting humanitarian to spend her nights playing roller derby and sleeping alone. Armed with a few adult toys and a prayer, she challenges him to a sensual game that will strip away their ideas of what sex should be.
Cole’s surprised but it’s his dream come true. With each sexual encounter, the walls between them come crumbling down and each must face the truth of what their marriage has been and what it could be.
Inside Scoop: Contains an alpha hero who wants sex at all hours and a heroine who knows what she wants, just not the words to get it. Also depicts criminal activity, the strong arm of the law and a self-rescuing heroine.
You can purchase Hot Tango at: Ellora's Cave | Amazon | Barnes & Noble
For more information, visit Sidney's website at www.SidneyBristol.com

Sale on My Backlist at Phaze Books!

Now through December 31, all paperbacks and eBooks at Phaze Books are 40% off. This means you can order my entire Phaze backlist and save big. Phaze offers eBooks in a variety of formats, so you can read these books on different apps and readers. Be sure to use the code HOLIDAY when you check out.

Many of my Dareville romances are available through Phaze Books, so if you're missing some books in the series this is a great time to stock up. There's also some hot M/M and a menage or two. Don't forget to check out other great authors at Phaze, too.

As for current writing, I am still waiting to hear on two recent submissions, one F/F and one M/F with a BBW heroine. I'm 10K into another F/F story and plan to submit that one by year's end. After that, I need to re-release a few stories that came back to me, and set up another M/M print collection. Then it's off to order promo for a few events in 2014. Oh, and I have to bake Christmas cookies before Christmas ends. I'll find the time, I swear.

Hope you had a great Thanksgiving, if you celebrated. I'd like to host a Christmas giveaway while I'm online, too, so we'll see how that goes.

Warning Labels for Romance?

Kit Marlowe here! I'm still trying to wrap my head around the news story I read this morning in the Guardian with the provocative headline, "Mills & Boon blamed for sexual health problems."

Wha?! Yeah, that's right:

Blaming romance novels for unprotected sex, unwanted pregnancies, unrealistic sexual expectations and relationship breakdowns, author and psychologist Susan Quilliam says that "what we see in our consulting rooms is more likely to be informed by Mills & Boon than by the Family Planning Association", advising readers of the Journal of Family Planning and Reproductive Health Care that "sometimes the kindest and wisest thing we can do for our clients is to encourage them to put down the books – and pick up reality".

Okay, it's really just another attempt to slam women who read and write romance. Like the LDS "Life Coach" who claimed that women were "unbalanced" by romance, it's another sensational pile of hogwash disguised as "concern" about women. In our childlike simplicity, we're just not capable of distinguishing between fantasy and reality. Poor lost souls!

Of course, the scholar in question refers to 70s era classic Mills & Boon bodice-rippers as her "evidence" for this. Yes, books from decades ago: obviously nothing has changed in the forty or so years since then. Or has it?
While Quilliam admits that more recent Mills & Boon novels are truer to life, with female characters holding jobs and addressing challenges such as disability and domestic violence, as well as enjoying "many and varied" sexual activities, "still a deep strand of escapism, perfectionism and idealisation runs through the genre".
Shock! Shock! Because I'm sure that's not a problem in any other genre! Why, there are no elements of "escapism, perfectionism and idealisation" in -- oh let's say -- superhero narratives or spy novels or military thrillers (you know, the genres generally perceived as appealing to male readers). There's no crazy, unrealistic and condom-free sex in books made to appeal to the boys!

No, it's only women who must have a finger shaken (not stirred!) at them and told to be good and realistic and above all, not to image wild and improbable sex. Aren't you ashamed of yourself?

Nah, me either.

Kit Marlowe's The Mangrove Legacy

Today marks the release date of Tease Publishing's newest author, Kit Marlowe and her comic Gothic novel, The Mangrove Legacy. Look at that gorgeous Stella Price cover!

Visit her Facebook fan page and comment for a chance to win a copy of this rollicking romance. You can read an excerpt at Kit's website to get a feel for this historical romance. Alice and Lizzie encounter wild adventures when they're kidnapped from Alice's father's funeral cortege, bereft without even an entertaining book to read. Watch the trailer here:

If you don't want to wait, you can buy the book at All Romance eBooks (have you checked out all their free holiday reads?). Drop by Kit's Amazon page, too, where you'll find her novella The Big Splash, a madcap romance set in  Jazz Age London.

CONFESSIONS OF A CONTEMPORARY AUTHOR

First, an admission. I'm a born worrier. I'll worry about anything, even things that no person in their right mind would be concerned about. For instance, my irrational fear of helium balloons flying away while I'm holding them. Yeah, I know. Crazy.

Anyway, in my writing I worry too about things that are at least a little more logical. Such as, are my characters realistic? Are their motives understandable? Do their actions follow what any reader would do in a similar situation in real life? Such are the pitfalls of writing straight contemporary romance. That is why I found writing paranormal such a refreshing change. Now, after writing and releasing "Erato" for Tease's print anthology Love's Immortal Pantheon I, and the short eBook for ARe "Eros' Valentine", the third story I've written in the paranormal erotic genre, Bacchanal, is no less thrilling for me as a writer.

I must confess that being able to create characters that have no qualms about anything was a very freeing experience for me. I find the ancient Greek gods fascinating. More, I found being able to write about sex without worrying about character motivation or social mores incredibly erotic. These all-powerful beings eat when hungry, sleep when tired and have sex when it pleases them. They are the walking, talking, breathing personifications of the id hidden inside all of us; those raw desires that we all suppress.

Attending the Authors After Dark event and being able to celebrate my paranormal works with others who love the genre will be a pleasure and I look forward to it greatly. Though unlike Dionysus in "Bacchanal" I won't be attending the parties oiled and nude except for a mask, I still intend on having a hell of a lot of fun.

I hope to see you there!
Cat

My newest god story, Bacchanal, released in eBook July 15th.
