FIELD TRIP INFO:
Touring New 2 with Kelly Keaton:
A casual walking tour of places found in New 2 (the futuristic city of New Orleans). Mostly touring at the square, shopping in the market...
Stops to include: The French Quarter: Jackson Square, the Cabildo, the Presbytere, Riverwalk, and French Market. ( Possibly the Garden District: The Morris-Isreal House and Lafayette Cemetery.)
Limit: 12. (if there is interest, we will offer this event on Friday as well)
Day/ Time: Thursday: Friday 1o Am
Supernatural NOLA with Erin McCarthy:
We'll start off at an authentic voodoo shop, then stroll past some of the Quarter's most haunted houses and buildings, including the house where parts of Interview With the Vampire were filmed, then end up in St. Louis #1 Cemetery, where the infamous voodoo queen Marie Laveau is buried.
Stops to include: Areas in the French Quarter that pertain to the paranormal.
Limit: 10
Day/ Time:1pm (2.5 hours)THURSDAY
Post- Katrina Royal Street tour with Suzanne Johnson:
A tour of locations from Royal Street, an urban fantasy (releasing April 10) set in immediate post-Katrina New Orleans. The tour will visit locations both from the book, and areas that were heavily impacted by Hurricane Katrina [the author evacuated and returned to NOLA shortly after the hurricane]. It's also a good general driving tour of the city as a whole.
Stops to Include: Outside the French Quarter: Bellaire Drive, Lakeview, and Seventeenth Street Canal breach at Hammond Highway; Mid-City area along Canal Street/Canal Blvd; Tulane University/Riverbend area; Nashville/Magazine area uptown; if sufficient interest, could have lunch at Frankie & Johnnys on Arabella & Tchoupitoulas St., favorite neighborhood hangout of book characters; The Fly, along the river at Audubon Park, behind the zoo; St. Louis Cemetery No. 1, site of major scene in book (1300 St. Louis St.), burial place of voodoo queen Marie Laveau and pirate Dominique You, both of whom are book characters. Optional drive through site of Lower Ninth Ward levee breaches, as well as drive-by of Louisiana Superdome and Morial Convention Center/.
Inside the French Quarter: Lafitte's Blacksmith Shop (941 Bourbon Street); the Napoleon House (500 Chartres St.), esp. the courtyard and banquet room (I'll treat interested tour members to a Pimm's Cup, my character's favorite drink--be great if the NH staff would let us look at the banquet rooms, but not necessary); Marie Laveau's House of Voodoo (739 Bourbon St.); Faulkner House Books/Pirate's Alley/Jackson Square.
Limit: 5 (if there’s sufficient interest, Suzanne will do two, one Thursday, one Friday)
Day/ Time:Suzanne will be giving her Fieldtrip people the times herself as this is a driving tour and she will be personally driving the participants.
Dante’s French Quarter with Adrian Phoenix
An evening stroll through Dante Baptiste's French Quarter, his favorite haunts, including certain key spots from The Maker's Song books, which will end at one of his favorite watering holes, a tavern that was once the blacksmith shop of the infamous pirate, Jean Lafitte.
Stops to include: St Louis Cathedral, St Peter St, Bourbon St, the Mississippi, Cafe du Monde, and Lafitte's Tavern
Limit:20 (Adrian will do 2 if the interest is there)
Day/ time: THIS IS AN EVENING EVENT: 8pm Thursday and Saturday
Garden District of the Damned with Jaye Wells
Start your adventure by meeting Jaye Wells at the pick for the St. Charles Streetcar on Canal St.. As we rumble toward the Garden District, Jaye will talk about how the streetcar itself was setting to a major scene in her book, BLUE-BLOODED VAMP. We'll hop off in the heart of the Garden District and walk over to Coliseum St. to the former home of Trent Reznor, where Jaye will share the secret influences the singer had on her series. Next it's a quick walk to Prytania Street and the former home of Anne Rice, which appears in the Sabina Kane series as the home of Erron Zorn. Finally, we'll walk a couple of blocks over to Lafayette Cemetery. Rich in history in its own right, the City of the Dead is also the setting of a major battle in GREEN-EYED DEMON. On the way back to the trolley, we'll stroll back by the famous Garden District bookshop. Stop in for a quick browse or grab a cool drink at the cafe next door.
Stops to include: St. Charles Streetcar to Garden District; 2425 Coliseum St.(former home of Trent Reznor) ; 2523 Prytania St (former home of Anne Rice); Lafayette Cemetery No. 1
Limit: 10 (Jaye will do a second event on Friday if the interest is there, at 1pm)
Day/ Time: 10am Thursday. This Field trip will run 2.5-3 hours.

thank you for putting this up, the truncated version on the e-mail left me lost so I'm glad I found this. Could I ask...what is the Tattoo and Corset salon? is this a place to look? to buy? it sounds interesting.
Thanks!
I see the events have titles but is there going to be an explanation of them or what the colors on the schedule mean? also are Blogger events only for the Bloggers? Thank you
SO EXCITED!
Thanks for posting this, And to Gina for giving me the link! LOL
This also might be a silly question, but because of the use of the word Tickets when talking about events, I'm curious if there's a cost to them? our is this simply to limit/track the people attending?
GINA: We have a tattoo artist on site for all your tattooing needs, and a Corsetier as well who is AMAZING (Shes making my wedding dress!)
Anon: Events have descriptions with the tickets. Im still waiting on a few of them. And Blogger events are open to ALL BLOGGERS EXCEPT the arc party and the Sleepover. those are for the featured bloggers.
Sasha: Tickets are to make sure we have a will call list for each event. Also whith the events that have a 400 cap, we want to see who is considering coming and who isnt. With THOSe, its not required but it will help the authors and pubs decide promotional stuff.
SWEET!!!!! Thank you for the info!!!
Noo prob hun! our tattoo artist is amazing, and the corsetier cant be beat. we are the ONLY con that travels with a tattoo artist and corset maker so we is special LOL.
I am really excited for this. The schedule looks great.
The one thing I am confused on is what website will have the tickets posted?
Ann:
Attendees will get an EMAIL with the link to the tickets FRIDAY MORNING.
Thanks for posting this. :) I was really confused by the email but didn't want to bug you about it.
I see that there is a pub crawl scheduled during the time the masquerade ball is scheduled for. Is the ball still scheduled and/or is the pub crawl a prequel for the ball?
Burbanette:
Ball is Friday. Pubcrawl is Saturday.
You said there would be a PDF of the schedule available on Monday?
So there's no cost for the tickets, especially to the smaller events. Will they be required at the door and time of the event?
My question is, for the 400 cap events, if I decide now that I'm not going, but then change my mind in August, or vice versa, will that be possible?
Jackie:
1. monday or tuesday, when Robin gets it on the website.
2.No cost for tickets. We have a Willcall list and people get checked off.
3. Yes you can choose to NOT go to the big parties, thats not a problem.
When getting tickets to the events does each person going have to get their own tickets or just the person who registered. I registered and included a friend and wanted to know if one of us could get two tickets for each or if we each would have to get the ticket.
individual only. You will only be able to get one for you. If you try for more, we only count it as one.
For anyone having difficulties with the schedule via email or the blog, I will get it online Monday afternoon in a printable (PDF) format.
OK, I'm a bit confused.
The times listed under Fieldtrips and Limited Events do not match. ARe the times in the tables correct or what is written? I'm guessing that the PDF is the correct version, but wanted to make sure.
Here is the writeup versus the PDF for reference

Sherri,
You misunderstand. the times on the BLOG are the TIMES THE TICKETS GO ON SALE. the times on the schedule is the time its scheduled to happen At the con.
And to clarify "GO ON SALE" means they are listed. No money exchanges hands.
Hope that helps.
S
Thanks Stella! That helps alot. :-)
I am worried that I have not received the last few emails yet I know people who have gotten it what should I do so that I get the ticket page info on Friday.
Email me and we will see if your email is wrong on the registration list. otherwise it might be in the spam filter.
Do you have the company name of the tattoo artist that is going to be there so we can check out the site before hand?
Denise:
click the link on the front page of the AAD website.
So could someone tell my why all the events are sold out when the time for ticket release is tonight????
they arent. they arent on sale yet. PLEASE read the email that went out.
