Lea Griffith began sneaking to read her mother’s romance novels at a very young age. She cut her teeth on the greats: McNaught, Woodiwiss and Garwood. As she got older, her need to devour all genres of romance–including contemporary, paranormal and sci/fi–grew. Any romance novels she couldn’t buy were borrowed or tradedl in her quest to read about that elemental emotion that keeps us strong: love. She still has most of those books; dog-eared, their pages yellowed with age, they still bring her joy.

Lea lives with her husband and three teenage daughters in rural Georgia and she writes her own stories now. With two dogs, a cat and a beta fish named Coddy George, there is never a dull moment. When she’s not working her day job you can usually find Lea at her keyboard, using every spare second to write. Shifters, artificial intelligence, and gene splicing, oh my! Nothing is off-limits when it comes to her writing.

AAD Featured Author Interview: Sidney Bristol

Welcome Authors After Dark 2014 featured author Sidney Bristol!

Hey! Thanks for having me.

Is this your first year attending AAD?

This will be my first year as a featured author *jazz hands*. I went a few years ago when it was in New Orleans and it was a blast.

What brings you back to AAD?

I had SO much fun as an attendee I just had to come back again, and I’m super excited about it. I might be counting down the days, hours and minutes already...

So where will attendees be able to find you at AAD? Do you hang out in the bar? The lobby? Or are you the one who throws parties in their room?

Hey, what happens behind closed doors is secret! I’m kidding. Chances are I’ll be in the bar a little, but I want to be wherever the action is. I’m at AAD to hang out with awesome people, so, I guess the question is, Where will YOU be? Because that’s where I’m going!

Do you have a book coming out before AAD you want the attendees to know about?

Yes! Today, actually, Duty Bound is releasing. It’s the second in my Bayou Bound series about cops and bounty hunters finding their kinky love while battling the bad guys of New Orleans. I classify it as BDSM suspense.

If you were to suggest one of your books to the AAD attendees, which book would it be?

Dang, that’s a hard one. Either Under His Skin, the first in my So Inked series about female tattoo artists. Or, Picture Her Bound, the first in the Bayou Bound series.

I heard through the grapevine you’re sponsoring a table at the Sins & Virtues ball. Tell us more!

I am!!! Who told you? I must thank them. Anyways, I’ll be at the Temperance Table, where we will be practicing the art of restraint. There will be handcuffs, rope and naughty toys to give out to the people who sit with me.

What panels will you be on at AAD?

I’m on four! I think I’m on every single BDSM panel, and one called Sexy, Sexy, Sexy. I’m really excited about being on the BDSM panel where we talk about bringing the kink out of the books and into the bedroom. That’s going to be a fun panel!

If an adoring fan wanted to buy you a drink at the bar, what’s your poison?

Dr Pepper…  I know, not as exciting, but man, I’m an addict!!

Well, I won’t say exactly, because it’s a surprise, but I will have some very special kinky prizes to give out. Also, everyone will be receiving some collector pins from me. Attendees can come find me to get additional pins for their collection!!
