The Hell That Will Be May

Ever have months you want to end before it even gets here?

Yeah...that's May, for me.

Writing-wise, May is going to be brutal. I have revisions due on two books. Two proposals due. A short story due. All of these things are due either by the 15th or June 1st. The good news is that half of the writing is Croft stuff, which means Stephanie (Tyler) is responsible for half. So really, that's a big load off. Not that I'm complaining, mind you -- I just wish there were more days in the month! *g*

Really, the worst part of May is going to be getting ready for the move to Wisconsin. Moving can be hell. Looking for a place to live, getting everything set up or turned off, arranging for the actual packing and loading, cleaning the house you're leaving, saying goodbye to friends. As much as I'm looking forward to living in Wisconsin, I'm also dreading the actual move. And really, there are many things about Virginia that I'll miss. (The heat, however, will not be one of them!)

So anyway, I'll be a little scarce for the next few weeks until the deadlines have settled down and we've gotten settled in Wisconsin by about mid-June. Hope you all enjoy the rest of spring!!!!

A Little Taste of RT!

Now that I am back and settled from the RT Convention, i'm busy getting back into the groove of writing and working along with the unpacking and downloading of a gazillion pics. (although so many are blurry)

It was great to connect with some of the Authors After Dark authors and many readers and booksellers as well. I'm feeling really geared up for the Authors After Dark Convention this fall and can't wait to attend. It's going to be a lot of fun. If you haven't already I hope you will check out the website and consider this fun event. Authors After Dark Weekend.

Now that the convention dust has settled here are a few pics to enjoy.

Me and author Cat Johnson waiting in line to get inside the Fairy Ball on Thursday night.

Somehow the super talented Bianca managed to evade my camera but she was in attendance as well. Maybe next time we can get a group photo.

I'm off to write lots and prepare for the Book Expo of America in New York City on May 28th and The Lori Foster Readers and Authors get together beginning June 5th.

Enjoy and see you next month!

RT...sigh

Okay, color me green with envy for all of you lucky enough to be attending the RT convention. I keep promising myself every year that I'm going to go and then somehow time slips away and I miss it yet again :( I hope everyone will take a ton of pictures and post them so that those of us left behind can truly appreciate everything that we've missed!

As far as news goes, I can't emember if I announced here that I've sold four books in the Guardian series...so that's a big yeah :) And in the meantime I'm busy working on Salvatore's story. I'm hoping any day that I'll be getting the cover art for Darkness Unleashed (Jagr's story). As soon as I do I'll be sure and post it.

Oh yeah, I just celebrated my birthday...and when you reach my age, it really is a celebration!

Hope you all are having a fabulous spring!

RT, New Releases & New Sales

RT is next week and for those of you who plan to be there, be sure to look for all of the Authors After Dark. We've got a little shindig planned for Club RT and goody bags galore! I'm also moderating the Demons Unplugged panel with a bunch of the AAD sisterhood and we'll have special goodies to give away at that as well.

For those of you who aren't going to RT, you can be part of the event in a way... I plan to collect some goodies at the conference and make up little prize packages that I'll give away on my blog after I get home. So remember to take a look the last week in April for your chance to win.

Other than convention plans, I've have a few news items to report. First, FireDrake is now in pint! Here's a taste:

Drake faces his estranged family and the dragon he left behind. He finds more than even he bargains for when a young prince is kidnapped and it's up to Drake, his childhood friend and rival, Mace, a warrior woman named Krysta, and two young dragons to track him down. Saving the prince will restore Drake's family honor, but it could also bond him with the dragoness, her mate, and the lovely Jinn warrior woman who loves them all. Dare he take the chance?

Second, Phantom Desires was just released in ebook formats. It's the third in my vampire novella series and all three of the stories, One & Only, Rare Vintage and Phantom Desires, will go into a single print volume sometime early next year. Here's the tagline for Phantom Desires:

This time, the creature under the basement is real. And dead sexy.

Cool, huh? ;-) Yet, it sums up the book really, really well! LOL!

Now for new sales - I just signed the contract for Grady's Awakening, book 4 in my Resonance Mates series. It'll be out in ebook later this summer and in print next year. I also got a verbal okay on a new series of military/psychic/menage (m/f/m) stories I'm calling the Gemini Project. More news on that as it becomes available.

For now, I'm looking forward to getting the cover art for my next release, Inferno. The sequel to Lords of the Were will release in ebook on June 30th (next year in print). Here's the blurb for it:

A forbidden union forged in love-and tempered in hellfire.

One last task and Megan will be free of the debt of honor owed by her family. Spying on Dante, a powerful vampire with questionable friends, sounds simple enough. But her mission is complicated by the fact she's got something every vampire wants-tangy, powerful, werewolf blood.

It's easy to capture his attention. The hard part will be getting out with her heart -- and soul -- intact. Not to mention her life, thanks to a crazed bomber.

Dante isn't the kind to forgive or forget easily, especially the grudge he holds against werewolves. Still, he is instantly drawn to the injured lone wolf in his care. When he and his friend Duncan treat her wounds, they discover something that marks her as much more than she seems.

The mark is a neon sign warning to be careful, but Dante can't help himself. He wants her and nothing will stand in his way. Not her species. Not his. Not the strange woman who keeps trying to kill him.

Not even the magical poison in Megan's blood...

Until next time,
Bianca

RT Convention Cometh!

Howdy all! How are things by you? Things are pretty awesome over by me. I just got a new car and I've lost a total of 70lbs since my whole weight loss saga began. I had to go shopping for all new clothes. And what's really awesome about that is in a few months I'll probably have to do it all over again!

But enough about that. I have a winner from last month's comment contest. The winner gets an ARC of my new book RAPTURE. This one may be my all time favorite written book and I really hope you guys like it to. Remember it hits shelves June 30th. Okay the lucky winner needs to email me at jacquelynfrank@hotmail.com with their full name and address.

And the winner on the AAD blog is: Kim S. Congrats Kim!
And the winner on my home blog is: Whitney

Now, the Romantic Times Convention is just around the corner! Yay! Anyone who is going has to remember to come to my Sunrise and Shadowdwellers Morning Mixer! You wouldn't think those two things would go together, but I assure you they do. We're going to have lots of fun and I spent a fortune on my goody bags! I want you all to leave very happy :) Also, me and my gf's are all going to be wearing saris in honor of the Shadowdweller women's favored mode of dress. I hear Stella Price's is gorgeous and I know mine is stunning. I only hope I do it justice.

Now I'm feeling generous, so I'm going to give away two more ARCs. Same rules as last time. All you have to do is comment either here or on my home blog site. Or heck, do both if you like! Good luck! And don;t forget to check out the Authors After Dark Event. I know I must have some tri-state area fans out there somewhere!

Hugs and Kitties
Jacki
