Apologies for making this quick, but I'm in the final stages of a move from Virginia to Wisconsin. Internet will shut off on Tuesday, and I'm not sure when we'll get it back again. It's scheduled to be turned on by the 15th, but that all depends on how quickly we can get our household goods delivered.
Boy, I hate moving!
So anyway, I hope you all have a wonderful June and get lots of time to relax, enjoy the sun, and read!
Hugs!

Summer Reading Plan
Hey everyone hope you had a great holiday weekend. Mine was filled with family, writing and movies. I managed to see both Night At The Museum 2 and Terminator this weekend. Enjoyed the heck out of both movies by the way. So i've seen all the big blockbusters so far this season. Wolverine, NATM2, Terminator and of course my favorite Star Trek! I'm sure I will be seeing lots more this summer but for now my attention is turning to my summer reading list.
I have a huge and I mean HUGE pile of books in both my paperback stack as well as my virtual stack of stories waiting for me to read them and for the month of June I am going to put a huge dent in them. I get so excited about new releases that I buy them as soon as they come out and then half or more go into the TBR pile to be read when I find some time. Does this mean I won't be buying new books this month? HAHAHAHAHA. Yeah right.
This is where I need your help. I want to buy the latest and greatest according to you. I'm happy to buy a book based on the book cover and the blurb but I find myself enjoying the ones recommended by friends the most. So i'm going to post a list here of some of my older books in my TBR pile so you know what I am reading in June and I would love it if you would tell what I MUST add.
Here is my reading list for June and yes some of these will be kind of old but I am determined to hit some of those that I have been eyeing for a while.
Lover Avenged by J.R. Ward
Burning Wild by Christine Feehan
Happy Hour Of The Damned by Mark Henry
Heart Of The Wolf by Terry Spear
The Magic Knot by Helen Scott Taylor
Rogue by Cheryl Brooks
Tempt Me With Darkness by Shayla Black
Okay so the list is growing a little long and it may be July before I get all these finished. (I do have to write as well) But go ahead and hit me with your favs. I need to know what i'm missing.
Also on a more personal front...Lucas, book one of the black cougar series, came out in print last month. Squeeeeee!!!! Here is the blurb again:
Kira MacDonald is in trouble. Plagued by false visions and erotic dreams of a man she’s never met, she fears losing both her psychic powers and her sanity. The cure? Finding and bonding with her mate. The stubborn red-haired warrior might not want one, but fate has other plans, plans that include her rescuing Lucas Gunn.
As the Guardian of his shape-shifting clan, Lucas Gunn lived a quiet, solitary life. Until he was kidnapped, examined, and tortured. Now imprisoned, his only tie to the outside world is the memory of his dreams and the passionate woman who appears in them. He thought she was nothing more than a vision. Then she came for him.
An uneasy alliance, a mating call that won’t be denied, rituals that must be honored, and unrelenting enemies who will stop at nothing to get what they want. It all comes together in the first of Eliza Gayle’s sensational Black Cougar Series. Passion and pride. Duty and danger. In the end, there’s really only one choice…for Lucas.
The paperback can be purchase at MBAM here and Amazon here.
And next week several us from the Authors After Dark blog will be in Ohio at the Lori Foster event. If you are anywhere near there or planning to attend the event, please stop by and say hello!

Soggy
Wow, it's been quite a month here in the midwest. Storms, tornadoes, flooding...did I mention the tornadoes? So far we've been lucky to have our house still standing, but the basement did flood, which means my new flooring is ruined...sigh. Ah well, the sun is out today and we're starting to dry out :)
I did hear from my agent that I'll be writing an anthology for Kensington. It's going to be a historical, but I'll tie it to my Guardian series. I'm really excited at the opportunity to go back in time and set up the world! I'm also making plans to travel to Chicago sometime in the late summer or early fall for some book signings. I'll post the dates here once I have it all nailed down.
Other than that I've been busy working on my next Guardian book. Well, that's not entirely true. I've also spent some time at the movie theater. Wow, there's been a lot of great movies out lately. It always seems to go that way, just like books. All the good ones come out at the same time :)
So, what are your summer plans??
Alex

Signings, News & New Releases!
I'm gearing up to spend tomorrow, Saturday, May 16th, with two of my favorite AAD peeps - Jacki and Stella - at a signing at the Middletown, NY Borders. Cat Johnson, Tilly Greene, Allie Boniface and Philippa Grey-Gerou will also be there, so it's sure to be a fun time! Come down and see us if you're in the area. We'll be there from 2-6pm.
I also have some news. Looks like I'll be writing for Kensington! I've been offered a spot in an upcoming anthology. The book will feature two stories - one by me and one by the lovely and talented Zoe Archer. The kicker? Both of the stories features zombies! Yes, you heard that right. Zombie romance stories.
In my case, my hero is not a zombie. He's the spec ops warrior they call in to hunt the zombies. ;-) So my story is set in the contemporary world. Zoe's is an historical zombie romance. Cool, huh? The anthology will be coming out from Kensington's Brava line in January 2010. When I know more, I'll be sure to pass it on.
In the meantime, I'd like to mention my new releases. First, in print, we have Jaci's Experiment. It's part of my futuristic menage Resonance Mates series and it seems to be available now on Amazon. (Though technically, it wasn't supposed to be out until June. Oh, well.) Here's a little bit about it:
Love... the grandest experiment of all.
As a young Alvian lab tech, Jaci knows her place in the orderly, emotionless society her race has established on the planet Earth. While preparing a batch of experimental skin patches, she is accidentally exposed to a gene-altering agent. In a matter of days, she's assaulted with raw, primitive, forbidden emotions she has no clue how to handle. If her superiors find out, she's a dead woman. Her only hope is to seek help from the human test subjects held captive in pens below the city.
Before the aliens came, cousins Mike and Dave used their psychic abilities to their advantage in business dealings. Now they use them to stay alive, keeping a sharp telepathic eye out for ways to help themselves and others improve their lot.or escape. Their friendship with Jaci has always been more than simply captives and caretaker. Now that her DNA has changed, their shared resonance is the stuff of legend. Inevitably, Jaci's emotions expose her to deadly Alvian justice. Suddenly she's in the race of her life, seeking the only safety she's ever known... in the arms of her human Resonance Mates.
Next, I'd like to share a little about my upcoming ebook title, Inferno. This book will be available in print in 2010, but you can read the ebook version on June 30th. It's the long-awaited sequel to Lords of the Were and tells the vampire Dante's story.
Don't you just love that cover? It's another Anne Cain masterpiece! The story is mostly a menage, though it ends up as a devoted m/f couple at the conclusion, so be forewarned. It picks up where Lords of the Were ended, following Dante and the fey knight Duncan's progress. They've gone to New York to enjoy some nightlife and then a lone wolf bitch enters their sphere.
She's been sent to spy on Dante, but even more foul attempts to kill him are afoot. When hellfire and magefire start flying in their direction, the three must work together to stave off evil from entering this realm.
The book will be out in eformats from Samhain Publishing on June 30th. For more information as it becomes available and to read the full blurb, visit my website at www.biancadarc.com.
Until next time,
Bianca

Winners, kings and things we dont understand.
Woo. Well I'm back everyone! Life after RT has been interesting to say the least. The weekend after I got home I did the CT Fiction Fest, which was a LOT of fun! My promo panel was very cool, and had a lot of people in it. I like to think I gave out some great info, but we will see, I know I tend to jump and ramble. Like on here.
So lets see... Ooh. The winner of the RT box of goodies is ANN. Ann, Send me your address (stella@stellaandaudra.com) and I'll get it right out to you. YAY and congrats.
Ok so what am I up to these days? getting a few submissions ready for sending out. after RT and the Fiction Fest, I came home with some requests and now I'm preparing them so I don't lose out shot at getting this to the next level. Wish us luck with these!
So yeah, my birthday is coming up at the end of the month. I'll be 30 this year and before you think I'm going to freak about this I'm not. For me, 30 is just a number, mostly because I don't LOOK like I'm going to be 30. I'm looking forward to it, this year I get to hangout with some author friends and go to Mt. Fuji for dinner. Ooh and is it cool for me to say that TERMINATOR: SALVATION comes out my birthday weekend? Duh un un un un! Cant wait.
We have a new book coming out in June with TEB. Surrender in Moonlight is the second in our Knossos Weresnakes series, and we are once again, excited as hell to get it out to everyone. Here is the cover that TEB gave us for it. I guess it fits, but I swear, the story inside the cover is very sexy and a lot of fun. Shall I give you the blurby:
Reece Evans, the nest bad boy and only male Anaconda in the NY nest, is NOT looking for a mate, but he is looking for a wild ride. When he goes to Dry Ice one night he meets Carmen, a viper and a rogue, and the attraction is beyond hot. When she steals his motorcycle from under his nose and then calls him to bail her out, Reece sees his opportunity for a very satisfying tryst still within his grasp. He agrees, on the condition that she stay with him a month, and be his sexy plaything. Little does he know he’s sealed his fate, Carmen is exactly the snake he never knew he couldn’t live without.
Hot, sexy little story. I hope you will pick it up.
So because its my birthday Month, Imma set a little scavenger hunt. Answer these questions and send them to stella@stellaandaudra.com with BIRTHDAY HUNT in the subject and be entered to win a prezzie from me. What exactly? how about a 30$ gift certificate for Amazon or BN.com? Yeah thought you would like that. Ok heres the questions:

2. What is the name of the short story in the London for the Holidays print?

La$ Vega$
Howdy. Guess where I am off to today? Yep, you guessed it. LAS VEGAS! Woo woo! This is totally for fun and I won't be doing any signings, but I am so excited I thought I would share it with you all. I am going to be a traveling fool these next few weeks. I just got back from Orlando and the Romantic Times convention where I had a hugely successful morning mixer. You've probably seen a bunch of pictures already and I didn't take any so...suffice it to say, Stella Price and a couple of fans and girlfriends looked awesome in their Shadowdweller saris!
I had a good time, but I have come to realize the week long event is simply too exhausting for me and as it stands right now I just don;t have the stamina for it. I won;t be attending next year's convention. However, I am hosting the Authors After Dark Weekend this year and, if it has a good turnout, I will host it again next year. Meanwhile, you can see my at Lori Foster's event and Lora Leigh's RAW. It seems the short weekend stuff is much easier on my system.
Rumor has it i am working on a sixth book for the Nightwalkers and that rumor is true. It will be Jasmine's story. But be warned I am only a third of the way through so it will be at least a year and a half before you see a hint of the book. And if I have my way this will be the first Nightwalker book to have a female name for the title. :) :) :)
GUESS what I have?? I just got the ARCs for PLEASURE! Woo Woo!! I think I am going to schedule a chat and give away ARCs! Let's see if I can line up some guest authors and make a day of it. It may have to wait until all my traveling is done!
I didn't forget to pick winners of the ARCs....well...okay I did. I will announce them on my home blog at www.jacquelynfrank.com when I get back.
Well, I have a flight to catch, so I will see you later! Enjoy your day!
